GoWap ("we", "our", or "us") is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform developed and operated by GoUp Digital Marketing Agency. GoWap enables businesses, agencies, and marketers to automatically generate and deliver Meta Ads performance reports to clients through WhatsApp.

GoWap is a Meta-approved integration. We utilize the official Meta Marketing API and WhatsApp Cloud API to securely fetch data and deliver messages. While we operate using Meta's official and approved channels, GoWap remains an independent product of GoUp Digital Marketing Agency.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, protect, and disclose information when you use our services.

2. SCOPE

This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • Individuals who create a GoWap account.
  • Users connecting Meta Ads accounts.
  • Client contact information stored for report delivery.
  • Visitors using the GoWap website.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to information collected directly by Meta, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, or any other third-party platform under their own privacy policies.

3. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

GoWap follows a strict data minimization principle and collects only the information necessary to provide and improve our services.

3.1 Account Information

When you create a GoWap account, we collect only:

  • Full name
  • Email address (used exclusively for account authentication, password recovery, and service notices)

Passwords are securely hashed using industry-standard Bcrypt encryption and are never stored in plain text.

3.2 Meta Advertising Data (OAuth Authorization)

When you connect your Meta Ads account through our official Meta OAuth integration, GoWap accesses advertising performance information available through the Meta Marketing API.

Depending on the permissions granted, this may include:

  • Meta Ad Account ID
  • Campaign names
  • Ad Set names
  • Advertisement names
  • Advertising performance metrics
  • User-selected Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Examples of supported KPIs include: Impressions, Reach, Clicks, Link Clicks, CPC, CPM, CTR, Amount Spent, Leads, Purchases, Conversions, Cost Per Result, ROAS, Frequency, and other advertising metrics selected by the user.

GoWap accesses only the business advertising data required to generate reports.
GoWap does NOT access:

  • Personal Facebook profile information
  • Private messages
  • Customer lists
  • Audience personal information
  • Sensitive personal information
  • Personal photos or posts

OAuth access can be revoked at any time through Meta Business Settings or by disconnecting the account within GoWap.

3.3 Client Contact Information

Users of GoWap may store client contact information for report delivery, including:

  • Client name
  • WhatsApp phone number
  • Time zone
  • Consent timestamp

Users are solely responsible for ensuring they have obtained valid consent and legal authority before adding client contact information into GoWap. By inputting client contact information into the platform, the user guarantees that they have obtained explicit consent from the recipient to receive automated messages via WhatsApp.

3.4 Technical & Log Information

To maintain security, reliability, and platform performance, GoWap may collect:

  • Login timestamps
  • IP address
  • Browser type
  • Device information
  • Report generation status
  • Delivery status (Sent, Delivered, Failed, Read)
  • Error logs
  • API request identifiers

Operational logs are retained only as long as necessary for security, troubleshooting, and service reliability.

4. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use collected information only to:

  • Connect securely to Meta Ads accounts
  • Retrieve advertising performance metrics
  • Generate customizable Meta Ads reports based on user-selected KPIs
  • Deliver reports via WhatsApp
  • Authenticate users and send account-related communications via email
  • Monitor report delivery status
  • Improve platform functionality, security, and reliability
  • Provide customer support
  • Prevent fraud and unauthorized access
  • Analyze website traffic and measure our own marketing performance (limited to website visitors, not app data).

We never:

  • Sell personal information.
  • Share your Meta Ads reporting data or client contact lists with third parties for advertising purposes.
  • Build marketing profiles based on your client's performance data.

5. WHATSAPP MESSAGING POLICY

GoWap uses the official WhatsApp Cloud API exclusively to deliver transactional Meta Ads performance reports.

GoWap does not send:

  • Promotional messages
  • Marketing campaigns
  • Bulk advertisements
  • Spam
  • Unsolicited communications

Reports are sent only after they have been configured and scheduled by the user within GoWap. Recipients may withdraw consent by contacting the user who added their number, requesting removal from future reports, or contacting GoWap Support.

6. OUR BASIS FOR PROCESSING YOUR DATA

We process your information securely and strictly for the purpose of operating the GoWap platform. We only process data based on:

  • User consent (when you connect your accounts and add client numbers).
  • Service delivery (the necessity to provide the GoWap service you signed up for).
  • Security and operations (legitimate business operations to keep the platform secure, fast, and functional).

You remain in total control of your data and can disconnect your accounts or withdraw consent at any time.

7. DATA STORAGE & SECURITY

We implement strict technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, utilizing modern security standards:

  • JSON Web Tokens (JWT) for secure, stateless user authentication and session management.
  • Bcrypt hashing for secure password storage.

  • Account-level data isolation to prevent cross-account data leakage.

Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel only. In the unlikely event of a data breach that compromises personal information, we will promptly notify affected users.

8. DATA RETENTION

11. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES & DATA PROCESSING
